4 Lawrenceville, VA Lawrenceville, VA Full-time Full-time $48,250 - $61,643 a year $48,250 - $61,643 a year 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago Administrative Assistant - Personnel Clerk Reports to the Superintendent and HR Coordinator Answer phones, direct calls, and forward messages to the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent Organize all paperwork that the Superintendent is responsible for signing from all departments including contracts, agreements, purchase orders, and bills, and distribute back to the appropriate person/department Register Superintendent for conferences and arrange travel Process bills for the Superintendent and HR Coordinator for any purchases or travel Collect and send all licensure applications to VDOE Monitor license renewals each year and collect all renewal applications for Director approval Distribute Field Trip forms to appropriate departments After a recommendation of employment is received for a new hire:
add to personnel agenda for Board approval review applications for any licensure needs and follow up with the applicant review prior work experience and gather documentation to establish the correct salary Meet with new hires for onboarding paperwork Maintain personnel file documentation Annually, send out Intent Forms for professional and classified staff Receive additional degree requests for processing Central Registry Forms - collect, file, and monitor VEA/VSBA Salary surveys Assist in contract preparation for all employees Annually, prepare reappointment lists for the Personnel Agenda IPAL Report - monitor and help clear any deficiencies in the report Prepare all extra duty contracts as needed and submit a monthly summary to payroll Update processes in TalentEd each year All other duties assigned by the Superintendent
Qualifications:
Hold a minimum of a high school diploma with an Associate's degree or comparable experience preferred Minimum of 5 effective years of experience in a school office position Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent technological skills including the Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and Google Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$48,250.
