Summary Assisting the Educational Director with administering programs of correlated academic and social education, vocational programs in a privately operated correctional institution.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Visit classrooms to observe effectiveness of instructional methods and materials.
Evaluates classroom instructional techniques and suggests methods for improvement.
Assist with establishing and maintain relationships with colleges, community organizations and other schools to coordinate educational services.
Assist in interviewing and selection of educational personnel.
Conduct follow-up studies to evaluate the effectiveness of academic and social education programs.
Assist with the formulation of plans and policies for educational programming and submit them to the Director of Education.
Assist with reviewing and updating institutional policies for the Educational Department.
Assist with supervising and evaluating staff on the job performance.
Assist with ensuring that staff follows all facility policies.
Instruct classes in the absence of certified instructors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements Master degree in education or related field from an accredited college or university.
Two (2) years of classroom teaching experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of educational philosophies and practices.
Posses a valid teaching certificate for the State of Virginia, either elementary or secondary.
Effective supervisory skills.
Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
